Susan Jenkins developed a deep love for drawing, painting, and anything related to color from a young age. Merging her passion for computer graphics with her artistic talent, she majored in Graphic Design at the University of North Florida, where she was honored as the Most Outstanding Artist upon graduation.
Though Susan had to temporarily set aside her fine art aspirations to focus on family and financial responsibilities, she rekindled her artistic passion later in life. Eager to learn and grow, she turned to online resources, only to find a lack of comprehensive and accessible instruction. This experience ignited her mission to provide other aspiring artists with the opportunity to learn from home, leading to the creation of Monet Cafe. Susan’s YouTube channel, Monet Cafe, has grown to over 130,000 subscribers globally. With more than 400 free lessons available, she offers extensive instruction on pastel painting and other artistic techniques. Susan considers it a blessing to be able to provide free art education to individuals who might not otherwise have the means to explore pastel painting. Susan also offers a Patreon page where subscribers can access exclusive content, additional instruction, and personalized feedback, providing an even deeper learning experience for dedicated art students.
